Dr. Jennifer Brown, pediatrician, provides specialized child medical evaluations on-site at Kids First. Dr. Brown has over 30 years of pediatric experience and has received specialized training in working with victims of abuse. Our child-friendly examination room can alleviate many of the fears over going to the hospital or doctor's office. Dr. Brown is famous for reassuring children that there are NO SHOTS at her office!

The most important element of medical exams is reassurance to the child that he or she is not "damaged." Dr. Brown does a "teeth to toes" evaluation and is often able to detect medical needs that were being missed. The exam also gives her an opportunity to educate parents on simple medical care and to answer questions that they may not have taken the time to ask their pediatrician.

 

Dr. Brown also provides trainings throughout the region on protecting children from child sexual abuse. An often requested presentation is "The Socially Skilled Child Molester."
